July 2nd
Sometimes your plan isn’t working seemingly, sometimes things go against you, sometimes you think bad times will NEVER end, but it’s at these exact times that although the stress and anxiety is high, you are about to pull through as long as you are STILL grinding, still working hard, and still believing in your ability and talents.
Coming out the other side of adversity and very tough situations is something many of you have done, are doing right now and many have continuous obstacles in front of you right now.
Without your workouts, the stress will only build, the doubt will double and you will question if you still have it anymore, DOING your workouts will let you take charge of it, not the other way around.
See your workouts as YOU time, the times when you can think much more clearly, when you are looking for solutions they are far more likely to come to you at the gym, when you are facing more challenges but they are temporary, and if you can get through these, then other challenges will seem much smaller in comparison in future.
The individual who stays the fittest and strongest the longest will endure through anything, and your own toughness level will only continue to get higher and higher the fitter and stronger you will get, smashing one worry out the way every time you face it all head on.
Exercise crushes stress, doubt and anxiety and gets you through your most uncomfortable moments, and allows you to come out the other side ready for more of anything that dares to cross your path.
Life is a series of tests, a series of little wars that you must fight every time they come up or you will always feel overwhelmed and feel life is out of control for you.
Get a sweat on, test yourself, remind yourself that you are ALWAYS good enough as long as you do your best, because that will always be ENOUGH to beat anything.
live movement workout-2nd July 2024
1st July
Life is a series of choices, and I see them every day, after all, it’s a free country.
I see the choices many people get, just like the great Kay Owen had when she was offered a mobility scooter, or should she go and join those crazy people in red t-shirts running up hills all the time? The rest is history but we often have a fork in the road, sometimes daily.
On the way home from the gym tonight, I did see a few in the chip shop, and the takeaway, when I left the gym I saw purpose driven and amazing members in Gail’s class doing incredible things outside, that made me feel good. I wasn’t jealous of anyone in the chippy or takeaway.
The pub was again heaving, and good luck to everyone who does that every day, but I wasn’t jealous.
I knew monday was a great day to get my mind and body right, eat well and get to bed early to maximise all the healthy gains I have made all day, I knew feeling better would come from my daily habits, and what I put in, I would get out.
We live in times when you can eat exactly what you want, as much as you like, drink as much as you want, socialise with whoever you want, you can exercise as hard as you want, and eat healthy for as long as you want-but all things have consequences, physically and mentally, for the good and bad.
The 80/20 rule continues to work well for most people, eating well 80% of the time pays off big time, exercising at least 3 times a week rewards your body and mind daily, nothing wrong with having the occasional drink (if you can handle it) and eating the occasional treat, but it’s what we do on a daily basis pretty much most of the time that shapes us, what we do sharpens our mind and as humans we need to be challenged regularly as we are either getting better or falling back and declining in all ways.
Stay in the fight, your best days are very much NOW, and do everything you can to keep good health, because if you ever lose it, you will regret it forever as it’s tough to get back.
Good health is true freedom, look after it.

Monday is vital because it is the perfect anti-dote (remedy to counteract the effects of poison on the body) from the weekend.
Think of the stress builders from the weekend-alcohol, not so good food as usual, irrational fear of the new working week on monday (especially sunday night/monday morning time).
Exercise will blast your stress into orbit, exercise will make you much more motivated to eat well on a monday, and exercising and fresh air will make you sleep much better on monday night, which will only heal your body strongly.
Stress, anxiety, pressure needs to be taken out immediately, and it’s the constant building up of it without you checking how dangerous it can be that can be the big unexpected problems to come.
Monday can be a worry, negative and the least favourite day of the week OR Monday can be the perfect opportunity to get back on track, flush all the rubbish out, and physically and mentally feel MUCH better in all areas.
Seize the day, take the opportunity open to you and get a great session in!!!!
