There is absolutely no “failure” with us, but I urge you to be competitive with yourself and get to know what you are capable of. For example, doing a bear crawl up the hill all the way to the top is easy to dismiss as “I will never do that”, then the thought of doing it backwards becomes a joke-UNTIL you actually do it (over time).

Nobody expects you do something really hard first time, but whatever that challenge is we strongly urge you to TRY.

If you can crawl for example 2 yards and that’s it, you have a starting point.

Next week that will turn into 5 yards. Over the next two weeks after that, it will become 10 at least, and suddenly you are learning the value of persistence and internally you will be gaining tremendous self-confidence and inner pride.

That competitive instinct inside of you will be ignited and re-awakened into a burning live fire.

Once that fire comes alive, you will be stoking that fire constantly by saying “what’s next”.

Your proudest moments in your life came about when you achieved something memorable, gaining an emotional high from something that you once thought beyond you.

I urge you to keep showing up, and keep being excited what you are really capable of. The positive boost to your mental health will be seismic and literally change the way you think night and day for the better.

monday June 13th

We start off with weights on a monday, then kettlebells on a wednesday (strength still) and then weights on a friday. These are great foundations. Then we throw in a lot of core and cardio tuesday and thursday, which are equally as challenging.Y

OUR BODY NEEDS 48 HOURS REST IN BETWEEN EACH WEIGHTS WORKOUT.

If you don’t you will not be letting your body heal enough FACT.The core and cardio workouts on tuesday and thursday are always different, and always offer incredibly difficult challenges to say the least. This plan works extremely well and delviers consistently great results. If you don’t have a plan and work randomly, then you will get RANDOM results.

Training and exercise is a science, a well thought out process to improve you and not destroy you. This is why it’s best to mix your outside and inside sessons up. I find people who want to go outside all the time get destroyed when they do inside workouts, and people who only do inside workouts all the time get destroyed outside.Training smart and using your brain to get the most out of yourself and your body WORKS. Inside workouts are more specific and in depth, outside workouts are very beneficial for your heart and lungs, and more of a general fitness workout hitting a ton of different areas.Going with what everyone “wants to do” all the time is a dis-service to you. It’s like asking kids in school what they want to do every day instead of teaching them what they NEED to do and learn which will offer far greater long term benefits.Doing things the right way allows us as a gym to go from strength to strength.

WE PROUDLY never advertise, we just rely on your results and overall experiences you have.If you see constant adverts from gyms/trainers, then you can be sure they are not serving their customers well or at all and unlikely to be around for long.Everything we do has a plan and is back by science and we will continue to see it through for your benefit short and long term.

June 8th

Great performances and a sense of pride only come from digging in when it’s easier, much easier to say “not today”.

Not today to get stronger, not today to gain a better lung capacity, not today to having a stronger and more resilient immune system, not today to developing a harder and firmer body, not today to having more energy, not today to putting things into their true perspective.

Not today is your everyday choice and it’s much easier to do, to roll over in bed and say not today, turn the other cheek when someone reminds you you should get fit again, not today to eating good food because “one day” you’ll get back training again and “do it then”.

When “not today” becomes your go to phrase, you already know you’re in trouble, and you need to kick yourself back into gear just to feel better!!

25th may-building resilience

Everyone wants to make their bodies as resilient and as tough as they can for as LONG as they can.

The hard truth is that you can do it, but also you got to be showing up to do it consistently too., there’s no other way so you better get used to it.If you have a weakness in your body, then it can be strengthened and sorted out over time, but guess what, you have to be consistent at working on it.How many of you have had great periods of training, followed by some time off, and then your joints, your knees, your hips, your back starts aching and hurting?

It’s the lay off that hurt you, and the missed sessions that hurt you, which will only lead to more pain in your body, your body likes to move consistently, don’t fight nature and let your body look after you, but your body will love you putting some work into it too and then it will reward you every single day with greqt movement and much less pain in your body.Body reslience comes from showing up, training intelligently and becoming an all rounder trying something new and challenging regularly.

Complaining about your situation is tempting, but destined to get you nowhere in life.

Some people may sympathise to your face, but will often immediately think of someone who has if worse off than you do, there ALWAYS will be.

Channelling the way you feel to doing something about it is your quickest swap of energy and will transform the way you feel and ultimately perform.

The way to do this is be grateful for what you have. If you can walk into the gym, or do exercise in any way, then you automatically have a head start in life.

Throwing dumbbells around even if you are seated most of the time is a gift, because those dumbbells you start off with it will eventually become light, and then it’s time to lift heavier, then they will become lighter too and so on.

What is certain though, if you DON’T use your body regularly and give it a go every couple of days at least, then it will begin to seize up, give you more and more pain, and that’s when life will become MISERABLE and then it’s a long way out of that hole because mentally you will be struggling too.

What your body does or doesn’t do has a direct effect on your mind-fact.Be GRATEFUL for what you have, and realise you CAN give it a good go and change your life for the better.
