Sharing your truth to start with is important, because if you don’t know your starting point, you can’t know where you are going to go, or appreciate how far you have come.

Communicating the good times along the way, as well as the hardships, is vital, because your progress will never go in a straight line. 

I’m used to seeing people at the gym and online every day telling me about their life struggles, then their victories and they realise that life is not a piece of cake, you have to work for everything you get, and good things don’t come straight away, or everyone would achieve the amazing things that you are capable of.

These days people want things yesterday, but my job at the gym is to tell you it takes time and be realistic with you, but when the things you really want in life comes for you finally, you will appreciate it that much more and realise why everything that’s worth getting takes so much time, is so hard at times, and you will remember the times you nearly gave up, but you stuck with it through thick and thin and eventually you won that race-against yourself.

Shut off the outside “noise” when it threatens to overwhelm you, realise that the race is only against yourself, and battling to become a better version of yourself every day should be the only goal, because once you do that and get into that mindset, then ANYTHING becomes possible.

Cause a ruckus

Life reminds us often cruelly at times that we shouldn’t take it for granted. 

Whilst that sounds depressing, it should actually inspire us to make the most of right now, the decisions we make right now that we can control because tomorrow is never guaranteed.

We all think we are secretly going to live forever, but remembering we all die should spark us into life to get the things done we need to, make a bigger impaction what we can in our community, and leave a meaningful legacy to those we really care about. 

The clock is ticking and urgency really matters.

When we put things off, to next week, to next year even, we are literally wasting precious gifts we have given, that literally anyone in hospital for example right now would bite your hand off to have that opportunity.

If pain is threatening to invade and overcome your body, it’s maybe a strong message that you need to move more daily, cut down on processed foods and sugar and get a plan together before it’s too late. I see people every single day who have made exercise their medicine and changed their destiny radically over time.

If you live your life worrying what “so and so” thinks and you let them hold you back, then delete their numbers, go after what you really want by taking action right now, surround yourself with those people who will encourage and support you, and you have made one of the most powerful and positive moves in your life.

I urge you not to waste anymore time on worrying who’s prime minister, or which cowboy politician will change your life because they won’t. Recessions come and go, but you will succeed and thrive if you keep taking action, remember that life is precious and life could be taken away at any moment, then you will treat your most valuable commodity-TIME- that much more urgently and get much more stuff done EVERY DAY.

You will be blessed to live a long life so you should give yourself every chance of living it well, I urge to move more, eat well at least 80% of the time, have a treat, be humble, do your favourite things, don’t put off your ambitions any longer, don’t settle for the status quo or settle for mediocrity, the clock is indeed ticking so make sure you make the most of the time left on the clock-may it be very long and make sure to cause a ruckus.

Everyone needs an adrenaline shot on a monday, and the more natural the better., it can happen Tuesday too!! 

The sound of a heavy weight falling on the floor, the gasp of a personal best on a ski machine, the feeling of getting to the top of the hill, the feeling of wellbeing full stop, it’s a great situation full stop.

Monday is always the catalyst to a great week, but it doesn’t mean if you missed monday for whatever reason, that tuesday cannot lift you into orbit either.

We all have good times at the gym plenty of laughter, plenty of camaraderie, plenty of well-wishing which elevates us to another dimension, another place when you feel it’s so great to be alive.

Human connection, and emotional support are two big things a lot of people have missed over the last couple of years and we have this back in incredible abundance at the gym every morning and every evening.

Our purpose remains super strong, we want everyone to do incredibly well, and we have responsibility ourselves to set an example too, your good efforts will never go unnoticed at the gym and your piece of toil will always inspire that person next to do that much better again.

Our gym is our church, a place of refuge, a place of inspiration, a place where very often great things can happen. 

The people make it though so I’m calling you again to keep on digging those inspirational efforts out of yourself, you may not think what you do incredible things but every single individual is on a path of their own, nobody else’s and always measure yourself by where you started from and where you are now, sometimes it’s easily forgotten!!

No half heartedness, no going through the motions, get down here and train and keep doing your very best-it really matters!!

Monday 17th oct

The start of the week is a day to CLEAR YOUR DESK of all the things you NEED to do.

If you are anything like me, things you don’t get done BUG the heck out out of me!!!!!

To start with I need to get my online workout done, answer my messages, get down the gym, get the classes done, get the inside work done in the gym never dripping in energy, come home, eat good food, do all the unseen things at the gym, prepare for a massive evening at the gym like we had tonight, and come home, get good food in and get this out.

You probably have a whole list of things you MUST do on a monday, If getting a workout in is not on your MUST DO’S, then have a hard look at yourself. 

It shouldn’t be an option, your health is absolutely paramount to the way you feel, how quick you can think, keeps your morale up, lifts your enthusiasm for the day and this is before the obvious short and long term health benefits.

Get your workout done, the more inspired you are to put great food into your body.

Get your workout done, the faster you can get the rest of your must do’s done and with far more enthusiasm.

Clearing your desk may be a figure of speech now but getting everything that matters done each day sets you up for far less stress tomorrow and you are already ahead going into tuesday, plus it makes you feel far more satisfied and purposeful.

The old saying is “don’t put off to tomorrow what you can do TODAY”!!

Your workout is your catalyst, your spark and driver for everything GOOD in your life, get it done first and everything else falls into place!!

If you are showing up regularly, we can work with each other and do great things.

If you want to do a degree in Netflix and be hooked on all sorts of boxsets and be an expert on your local takeaway menu, then we may have a problem.

Those two thought processes lead to wildly different outcomes, and I guarantee you will have more ENABLING the degree in Netflix and you knowing menu’s off by heart. 

When things are “Easier”, you will have way more people supporting you, because it’s not much of an effort to “achieve” sitting on your behind every night getting a wheezy chest from all the rubbish you are eating. 

Congratulations on becoming the world champion of being on easy street. 

Then back to showing up with us. It’s tough, its colder, you will have your behind kicked from time to time but it’s all for the GREATER good, YOUR wellbeing, YOU getting your mind RIGHT!!

Where we live is somewhere not many want to travel, it’s rarefied air where different and ultra challenging workouts happen every hour of the day. 

You won’t have large groups of people on social media wanting you to do it, secretly many won’t want you to succeed because you will be SHOWING them up with your success, looking so good, feeling so great and leading by example whilst they are falling by the wayside.

Two roads, one tough, one so easy you could roll down it. All you got to do is show up and do yourself proud,
