Wed 19th Feb

It’s very easy to WAIT for change in our lives, but the reality usually is we have to CREATE it ourselves.

If you wan’t what you have always had, then keep on doing what you have always done goes the saying.

If you want something different and better, then try doing something different and more challenging, the status quo of trying a “little bit” now and again won’t get you anywhere.

It’s the THIRD opportunity today to try the new programme and lots of you have already done all three. Yes it has been a struggle at times, it’s been requiring a big push and most of you have lifted weights heavier than you ever have, but you have got through it and you deserve all the massive rewards to come.

You haven’t ducked the challenge, you have EMBRACED it and showed great courage, commitment and resilience by getting through all the new challenges that have come your way.

Other activities like walking, cycling, swimming etc are fantastic and I enjoy them myself, but these programmes will CHANGE you radically in record time and boost your health dramatically in the right direction and give you great foundations to perform well in everything you choose to do.

Back this up by eating healthy and you will likely be much more resilient to colds and other illnesses that seemingly are around all the time-studies shows that this is 100% FACT.

Tues 18th Feb

Asking yourself better questions about your workouts mean the difference between struggle and thriving with your health.

“Why do I have to do that”, “can’t I do something easy instead”, “I’m too old for that”, “maybe I can show up once a week and get away with it”, are all examples of someone struggling with their fitness , instead of embracing of what they can really do and PRIORITISING their health.

“I will do my best on that exercise/challenge”, “I am lucky to be fit and strong enough to try that”, “I know if I do this regularly, I will be fitter than I was 20 years ago” are great examples of someone THRIVING with their fitness, instead of coughing and spluttering over the line every day.

Realising what you really capable of instead of constantly putting yourself down and avoiding challenges will be life-changing and transformational-all up to you and your attitude!!!

Sun 19th Feb

When times are tough, you must keep the faith that your best days are ahead  of you, and the set of challenges you have right now are only making you stronger.

There’s no need to get discouraged unless you are intent of not helping yourself. Buying a lottery ticket is not trying, it’s hoping that a 13 million to one shot will somehow come in for you.

If you exercise and move more most days, YOU will be the favourite to win every day you try to win, the odds finally will be in YOUR favour and it’s the “try” being the main word there.

Adversity will come your way, life is NEVER easy but if you continue to try, continue to fight and continue to take action, life will be much easier because of your resilience, grit and determination to see its through.

People putting you off with their negativity? See it as UNHAPPY, UNFULFILLED people showing what they secretly feel when they look in their mirrors every day, and they don’t have even 1% of the drive, ambition and talent you have to see this through once and for all.

Monday is coming and so with it multiple opportunities for you to do well and come out fighting for a better future.

How to believe

The difference between success and failure is belief.

We should know by now what’s required of ourselves, but often we don’t follow through and take the actions needed.

We know we need fresh air, even with the cold wind today, and we know how It blows away the cobwebs, whether we do it or not depends ON US!!! We want to feel better and sometimes that means avoiding doing things that make us feel terrible, drinking in the week is guaranteed to make us feel low the day after, make us have anxiety and make us not want to do a thing.

It’s OUR choice if we do it.Comfort food is often nice and gives us a warm fuzzy feeling that’s well-comforting!

If we use food though just to feel comforting, it often has long term ramifications on our heart, blood pressure an cholesterol levels, as well as putting needless weight on our bodies that only creates long term strain and vulnerability to serious disease-harsh but a factual statement backed up by doctors.

We MUST believe in our mission to get healthier, and we know the path we must take, and we must BELIEVE in our ability to see it through. Belief in ourselves and what we are doing is right is often hard, but nothing good came from the easy path or everyone would be fit, strong and healthy with loads of energy.BELIEVE-your success depends on it.

Do what you NEED to do

Talking to yourself instead of “listening to yourself” should be a must for you, especially in times you don’t want to do things that are good for you.

Listening to yourself sometimes means you don’t want to go to the gym today.

Listening to yourself sometimes means you want “comfort food” justifying a takeaway, justifying a few drinks to get over a problem or stress, and you may convince yourself that’s the best way to do it.

BUT sometimes we all need a good talking too, we NEED to be at the gym to make sure we get a great workout which will make us feel better, we NEED to eat well and healthy as we know 30 mins after eating rubbish we will feel lousy and un-energetic once again, we need ENERGY and we don’t want to eat ourselves into a big slump and rut..Sometimes we need to the things that benefit us, even if sometimes we don’t even feel like doing these things!!!

Accept that we will often have two voices, one on each shoulder and doing the things that we NEED to do, instead of the stuff we “feel like” doing will always lead to better outcomes, for our bodies and our minds.
