Over believing is much better than under believing.

Under believers are much more prone to doubt, much easier to be discouraged, and much more likely to having a stop/start relationship with exercise.

Flooding yourself with belief makes you show up, makes you more confident in your ability, and makes you realise that as long as you stick at it, then great results are extremely likely to happen.

PLUS if you are in a household of people who often doubt, who often fail to have a go and are likely yo not take opportunities, they will benefit having you around, as your belief and encouragement will very likely rub off on everyone else in the household too.

Belief will get you through the times when you need to show consistency with eating healthy, when you are tempted to eat rubbish food, when you may be tempted to listen to those who don’t care nowhere near as much say you do about their health, that sometimes ‘over-belief’ will get you through to the finish line just when you need it and build some real ‘stickability’ into your life just when you need it.

Negative people NEVER change the world

It’s important to remember that the negative people, the doubters or the pessimists never change the world, but to remember they are a fact of life, and that is a source of huge motivation to me every day.We know we achieve great things every single day because of your great efforts, but not everyone will like it, not everyone will embrace it and some may even continue to doubt it even when the proof is put right in front of their nose.

I often make references to our great positive environment, and I often joke that there are “spitting cobra’s” threatening that environment at all times, that’s why we double down on our efforts every day, emphasising how important it is for us to continue to work hard, to put performing at a very high level at the top of our list, and to only get better as a gym.We know that positivity, innovation and overcoming challenges always beats negativity, pessimism and doubt-ALWAYS!!!

We know we smash the “spitting cobras” in the face every time when we raise our game and only focus on getting better, and changing the world around is in a positive way through our endless success stories-meaning you!!!Keep it up, keep having fun and keep challenging yourself way beyond you ever thought possible!!!

25th Feb 2025-how to change your life’s outcome

Everyone has an exciting future no matter what age you are, what your circumstances or how you feel right now.

The key is swapping habits that hurt you for habits that transform you over time, good and bad..

Examples of habits that hurt you

  1. Not being consistent with your training, for every week off, it can take you two weeks just to get back where you were. Training regular every week (3 times minimum) makes all the difference not only for your body, but your mental health too. If you want to feel good, exercising is your spark plug, your energy booster and mod enhancer-what are you waiting for!

B. Thinking you can out-train a bad diet is a schoolboy error, that has NEVER been the truth The more you train, the MORE you need to put good healthy food into your body, you need your muscles repairing, you need fresh energy again every day and you need to keep performing well.

C. Drinking too much alcohol, if you drink 4-5 times a week, your chances of alcohol cirrhosis go way up, especially in your 40’s. Yes we HAVE had alcoholics at the gym, we never judge, some have passed away, some have recovered before it’s too late, and some have created carnage in their homes, for the kids and for their relationships, a drink occasionally can be fun and enjoyable, but for some especially for some, can ruin lives in excess.

Life is about choices, and we can create exciting rewarding futures by making our health a priority and avoiding the traps that so many fall into.

The right way to do REHAB

It should NEVER be acceptable to give a sheet of paper to someone, never show them how to do the “physio exercises” and hope for the best, but many of you know that is the system (99% of the time).

You will not get a part of your body out of pain unless you work it. It may well be limited movement to start with, but as you practice it, then the degree of movement will only improve over time, if you put in the patience required and diligence in training it properly.

As the movement returns, so will your strength in that area, so will the blood flow increase and you will soon be totally replenishing that area as well as the rest of your body, you must stick with the process as momentum will only keep building if you stick at it (minimum 3 times a week).

With the “sheet of paper don’t bother to show you if the exercise is even suitable for you” approach, I have found that some people can do squats for example, but can’t do the lunges prescribed and vice=versa.

It is true that many people would rather a bag full of pills than treat the root cause of any problem, and it’s not exactly motivating when you are in pain or you can’t do what you previously did, but anyone in their lives will get injured and have limited movement for a time, after all accidents do happen unfortunately and are a part of life.

Keep showing up, keep proving that very amateur “sheet of paper” approach wrong, and keep excelling in your recovery that can only keep getting better, the only failure you will experience is if you don’t even try.

20th Feb 2025

Train well 80% of the time and do it often.

Eat well 80% of the time, the occasional treat then doesn’t matter.

Keep away from energy drainers and negative people in your life as much as possible.Get fresh air daily.

As you age, you can’t drink like you did in your 20\s anymore without serious health issues over time.

Sleep is medicine, use it to heal you, energise you and set you up for a great day every day.

Do all of these and you are doing better than 90% of people!!
