Taking control of your fitness is much easier than you think.

You need to take any “get out clauses” out of it though.

Those times you may think “shall I go training tonight or not?” have to go. You can’t let the weather make the decision for you on whether you train or not-it will always be “too hot”, “too cold”, “too wet”, “too dark” at certain times of year.

Don’t rely on someone else to train with you all the time.

Training partners are great but life happens and sometimes they won’t be able to make it. I’m at the gym at the normal hours all the time, so if you are looking for that extra push, just text me or shout at me and say let’s get a massive session done!

You should be able to put in three sessions a week NO MATTER WHAT!!! Anything else is a welcome bonus.

Just think of your dental appointments, your solicitor appointments, your school appointments, you never break them do you?

Your health is more important that all of those so when you schedule a session in, make sure you make it happen every time.

Showing up for your sessions is the single most important thing you can do. Your body and your ability will naturally improve quickly.

Schedule your sessions in and don’t let anything come between them. You will be in total control of your fitness and how much you will improve. No more “maybe’s” and “someday’s I’ll do it”, the time is now.

Monday, 11th May

Sometimes it’s much better to have thunder than a gentle shower.

Monday is a typical example of that.

Most of you who get a workout in on a Monday always wonder why you are feeling so tired. The simple fact is that you have been probably resting up the weekend, you probably have eaten a little bit worse than normal meaning you have eaten “empty” calories devoid of energy that will make you even more tired.

So Monday is the time you really need to get going again, you need to set your stall out for the rest of the week, and you need to set your standards very high.

Get Monday right and the rest of your week will look great.

This is why our music is always like thunder, it’s always going to get you going, or shake you to your foundations, one or the two!

Monday is the day you need to be “all in” with your training. All in means you really give it everything, you get excited about your progress and you wonder how you can get even more out of your training.

With proper eating and rest, there’s no reason why you cant improve every single week. Stay positive and look how you can get even more out of yourself again.

Make Monday happen big time and feel the rewards for the rest of the week!!

Friday, 8th May

Time is our most valuable thing we have, there’s 168 hours in a week and you can’t make any more of it up unlike money.

Where we decide to invest our time demonstrates what is really important to us.

If you say “you don’t have time” to do something, this really means that “something” is not really important to you.

If exercise is important to you and a priority, then you will train first thing in the morning or last thing at night, JUST TO FIT IT IN!

If a personal relationship is important to you, you will make time for it no matter how busy you are.

If treating your body with proper nutrition is important to you, then you will grocery shop on a Sunday and spend 10 minutes the night before preparing food, making sure you eat right.

If you are really passionate about your business, you will wake up early and stay up late building up your dream.
So have a think where did you invest your time yesterday? Where are you going to invest your time today?

Visualisation is the first key to a successful future.

The best way to predict the future is to see it and then create it by doing it.

The hurdles and challenges we face are sometimes very tough, but being able to see what is ahead unleashes your ability to persevere and come out on top.

All of the success stories we have had have involved a lot of courage, a lot of bouncing back when all seemed lost, and usually meant carrying on even when it was easier to quit.

The best success stories involved the word RESILIENCE. The word resilience comes from a latin word “resilire”. It means “back” and “leap”. When we are resilient, we LEAP BACK up after getting knocked down.

If we are unable to rebound from setbacks and disappointments, we will never be able to reach our true potential.

We can do one of two things when adversity crosses our path.

We can view our life as if we are in pit, as if the rug has been pulled underneath us, and we’re in this deep hole we can’t get out of.

Or we can maintain our clear vision of what our life is about, how we want our bodies and minds to be again, and harness that adversity to take us to higher ground again.

If we have a strong and clear enough picture of what we want to become, if we feel it in our hearts and with reason in our minds, we can and will overcome anything.

If we view life as constantly looking forward, it means our greatest work and contribution is always ahead of us.

Thursday, 30th April

Putting the hard in is not always glamorous, it’s frequently tough, difficult, character testing, sometimes you don’t really want to do it, and most people find excuses not to do it. These are the facts.

The few that do though are the ones who deserve the success. If it was easy, then everyone would be in great shape without sacrificing a thing. Unfortunately, it never works out like that!

The harder you work and the more you show up, the better results you will have.

The harder the work, the more you will want to eat healthier, and you won’t want to blow all that hard work.

The harder you work, the more you find out about your character. How deep you can dig when you really need it.

The harder you work, the more you can apply it to other areas of your life. Your work ethic will naturally rise to brand new levels. You work hard in your training, and your new found focus and determination spreads to all areas of your life.

I recognise the people who work the hardest now straight away, because they are the individuals who have changed the most in all ways. When you work hard, all your expectations in everything rise automatically.

Be prepared to put the work in, and look forward to seeing and enjoying the great results that it’s guaranteed to bring.
