Keep at it

You know your success takes commitment, and not relying on what’s “convenient”.

Convenience is exercising when it suits you, or the way you feel or life is easy this week-so you will get it done. This strategy will NEVER work..

Commitment is exercising at leats three times a week no matter what, finding the time and even putting 20 minutes aside and getting it done in spite of everything else. You have the added bonus that exercise will only make you feel better too afterwards, the best way to get your mind right.

I have never met anyone who has “plenty of time all day every day”, I’ve never met who has a “perfect time” in their lives to start or keep exercising, and I’ve definitely never met anyone who wants to exercise every single time.

A commitment to working our regular, to eating healthy and to looking after your body will be your most tried and tested investment you ever make.

Keep your physical health fantastic by keep your commitment to your training, keep your mental health great by showing up consistently without making any tempting excuse, and never be the one who says “can you imagine how fit and strong I’d be now if I’d only kept it up”!!!!!

27th May 2025

Every day I am faced with a few simple things to get right, and every day I ask for the courage and self belief to see them through.

  1. To put everyone through a beneficial workout that will only enhance their lives, make them stronger, more mobile, more flexible and have greater endurance.
  2. To run the gym properly and protect its culture, encourage everyone and never let anyone jeopardise that culture-no exceptions.
  3. To eat well, to get enough sleep and to exercise enough to have energy to see through all of these very important tasks.

The start of the week is ultra important for me and thank you for a great morning of effort, plus the added bonus as usual of a great atmosphere too.

I encourage you to keep your life as simple as possible, do your best, do the simple things right and reap the benefits from there.

Monday May 19th

Worrying what you don’t have or can’t do is a revolving version of HELL.

Life will not get better for you if you keep worrying about everything that someone else had, everything someone else can do, and you are endlessly comparing yourself to others who seemingly have more than you.

APPRECIATE what you have and what you can do, because when you do, you will realise how lucky you really are, you will see how far you have really come since you started, and realise too how ridiculous it is to compare yourself against others.

You will automatically be in a better mood, you will only start performing better at everything you do, and you lift everyone around you up too.

Worry is a killer, worry stops you improving and we all can only control what we can control.

Being happy with who you are and what you are doing will allow you to be happy at your own pace, and whatever anyone else is doing won’t matter at all.

15th May

The price you pay for not making your health a priority is far greater than the effort you are contemplating for your workout and eating right.

When your health goes, it dominates every thought, every conversation and the effort to dig yourself out of that hole can seem overwhelming, and it’s much easier just to try and survive on medication, and do what you can and hope for the best.

A 15 minute workout even most days will move the needle for you. The hardest part is getting your trainers on in the first place, and you don’t even have to do that as we do an online workout every day that you can do anywhere.

Moving more not only makes you feel better, it inspires you to eat better, it gives you much more real hope that you can get out of pain, that you can and are getting strong, and mentally puts you in a much more positive and encouraging place.

As you get fitter and healthier, you will move from feeling as if you are the continual victim of bad luck and circumstance, to being grateful for your health, your new found energy and the get up and go you are discovering more and more of every day.

If you surround yourself with more positive people who exercise, you are much more likely to be inspired to move more, eat well and look at life  though a much more positive lens.

It is said we act and feel like the 5 closest people we hang out with the most. If we speak and follow people who have more of a victim mentality every day, people who think exercise is somehow impossible, people who have given up and tell you to drink and eat as much as possible every day as they have given up, then we all always struggle to change our health outcomes in life, and we will continually to feel and act helpless.

If we have our health, we have a thousands dreams, if we don’t have our health, we only have one-to be healthy again.

Moving more, eating better and the positive people you hang out with can change your life.

Range of motion

IF your range of motion problem on an exercise or movement of any kind, you have a dysfunction.

You will compensate for one lack of function, with an over compensation usually on the other side of the body, and over time the “good side” will eventually become the bad side due to it doing most of the work for an extended period of time..

Your joint/muscle/part of your body will not get better unless you move it more, move it better, strategically aim to get it to move a bit more each time, and when you do this, more blood gets flushed into the area, and regenerates that part of the body more thoroughly than anything else.Thank you for so many of you trusting in that process, our way is to never put you in pain, talk you through the process at every stage and show increased strength, increased range of motion and over time a big reduction in pain that will be permanent and long lasting.

Age should never be a fast track for getting stiffer, getting more in pain in your body, decreased overall energy which all leads to a lack of ambition to do lots of good things in your life.

Keep working your WHOLE body, never accept something is past repair and keep stimulating your body the right way by systematically training right, stretching right, warming up right, and making full mobility your continuous big goal which allows you tp perform at your very highest level continuously.
