Monday 10th Nov

Discipline is the stuff that needs to be done, even when you don’t feel like it. There are many times you don’t feel like making the gym, but you ALWAYS feel better for making the effort.

Without any discipline, wasted talent happens and it becomes wasted POTENTIAL and I’ve seen it time after time.

Here’s how we are completely different as a gym because we never want you to waste that potential. And this is why we encourage FULL attendance and effort when you show up.

If someone I see playing sport has an imbalance in one area, we go flat out to put it right as it hurts performance big time and only increases chances of injury-but they need to keep showing up.

If someone has an injury, we go all out to put the weak side right again, and guess what, your body will always start functioning better-but they need to keep showing up.

Showing up regularly means you have discipline, means you are committed to change and committed to being the best you can be.

Fri 7th Nov

We promise to help everyone move, feel and perform better-that’s our mission.

All the recent investments in the gym have been completely focused and directed at that mission.

Our mission is to study the latest science of training and recovery continually and apply at the gym. We LOVE doing that and seeing the great results.

To be honest, I would hate to be in a “gym” full of machines with their extremely limited results as well as range of motion (pro athletes DO NOT train like that-fact), and a “hope for the best mentality” with no supervision, that’s the opposite of who we are and we stand a full 180 degrees away from that and proudly do so, and our results strongly back up our philosophy for the last 68 years.

Thank you from embracing our new big investment in the back room, the feedback has been hugely encouraging to us and it’s safe to say that all of you that have tried it are walking out with far less pain in your body, feeling as if you walking on air and elevating your wellbeing up another level or two!!

We are going to double down on philosophy on training and eating right with tried and tested science, and continue to do our very best for you each and every session.

Tues Nov 4th

I once upon a time suffered from SAD syndrome man years ago, that time of year right now to around march when the lack of light and the bad weather created a mindset I always had to battle with.

This is why right now I go into battle with these months and developed a full arsenal of weapons of deal with it.

We pride ourselves on having a fun atmosphere that is full of positivity not only in the best of times but in the worst of times, it’s our role to be a beacon of light for you all, to encourage you, to see you through the darkest months and when you are struggling too..

We pride ourselves of offering support for everyone.

The trap most people fall into though is hiding away in these months, finding it hard to get off the settee or out of your blankets you maybe wrapping around yourselves and saying “tomorrow”, and then tomorrow never comes.

I am aware it’s tough but I know the power of “being in the room” too when it comes to the gym. I’m not sure what it’s scientifically called but I do know your mind will be enhanced by all sorts of positive energy when you walk in our gym, and your mood even if it is quite low walking in, will be drastically uplifted by the time you leave. This is a FACT and we all know it.

Making your darkest months your best months also finishes off the year strongly (7 weeks tomorrow is Christmas Eve!), and ensures great health not only for the festive season when everyone needs you to be well, but for the new year around the corner too.

Early November whether wise is not great, but we waiting to push you extremely hard inside and out, to make sure these dark months are once again your greatest months, mentally, physically and emotionally and we have all the tools to guide you through it.

Smiling more, laughing more is just as powerful as working out more, we are raring to go and can’t wait to see you!!!!

Thurs 30th Oct 2025

Conventional “wisdom” is with injuries is an acceptance that as we age, injuries will affect us far greater and have highly negative implications for our health.

That is if we don’t apply the science of tried and tested recovery methods.

If we manipulate a joint, you will get some relief (often for 48-72 hours).

BUT if we don’t use that temporary relief to get that joint stronger, then there is no way that joint/muscle will stabilise under the load of our body. Scientific papers prove this endlessly.

After we decide to get that joint stronger, then the goal should be to get it back to previous strength/power levels.

THEN, we have reality is we have a great opportunity to ENHANCE that joint to previously unseen and unfelt levels if we methodically carry on our work on it.

On top of this, we also concentrate on range of motion, which we are testing endlessly at the gym right now.

All of this is not only possible, it’s very probably if you train right for it, and we can demonstrate your success along the way.

Performance training is not hopping on a treadmill, pushing a button and hoping for the best, it’s all about having a plan, using the science available to us, throwing in decades of experience on top, and bringing the absolute best  out of you every time to bring about something very special indeed.

Tues 28th Oct

Not even two days in and we are an incredible 112 tests in already!

We are also teaching a new programme too, it doesn’t sound possible but our world class assessment and measuring performance system is working very well indeed, and creating an awareness like never before.

What goes through my mind constantly is are we trying to do “too much” for you our members?

What we are offering is at an all time high, but we firmly believe you cannot offer too much, because we want to throw everything at you and hopefully over time, your results and experiences at the gym will be an incredible level you will not have gone through before-SO THIS IS ALWAYS GOOD!Of course we are the polar opposites of gyms who never help you, and just rely on you pushing a button and hoping for the best mentality until you naturally lose interest.

We are ALL about performance and recovery and how to get your very max out of both.It does take a lot of work, a lot of learning about the latest science, it does take a low of drawing from multiple years of experience, but we are always aiming to keep getting better, and this is just the latest step. along that process, which all of you should benefit from along the way.

Having high standards is hard, we never do things the easy way, but you are all worth it.
