The 3 H’s

Your HEALTH will always be number one. No matter how much money you have, how much influence you think you have, without your health, you are taken out of the game, you have no say, you won’t feel good, you will be living in worry about now and the future, and without your health, you will realise you have zero foundation.

When you have your health, everything and anything is possible full stop, it is all encompassing, so your workouts are not “an option” they should be mandatory and transformational for your health, and how you want to live every day.

Your HEADSPACE-what goes in between your ears is critical and crucial, and is a direct beneficiary from your workouts and the way you look after yourself. Getting your mind in the right place is absolutely vital to get a great vibe into your daily life. Living with anxiety, regret and worry is no way to live, and there’s plenty you can change about that.

Your motion, your movement and the people you associate with directly affect your headspace, if you don’t pay DAILY attention to how much you move, the way you move and how you take care of your body, then your head WILL suffer, this is why we absolutely prioritise movement above anything else-make it happen.

Your HEART-your workout is always great for your heart-you know that. But you need another heart too, the type of heart to have a go in the first place, it’s called guts and determination, and no matter how many times you are knocked down, you will get back every time and have yet another go, because if you do, eventually you WILL be successful if you learn by any mistakes you make (and you will make them), dust yourself off and come back stronger enact and every time.

Our greatest champions at the gym all have a big heart, they have tenacity, they have grit and they have a resilience to come back from whatever life throws at them. Never quitting, never giving in means you need to dig deep and find how strong a heart you really have, and we believe you really DO!!!

These THREE H’s are absolutely essential to live your life every day full of pride, effort, happiness and achievement. Don’t leave any of them waste away, you need to work on them every day so you never get in a rut, never get in a place where you don’t want to be, and you finally realise what you are really capable of right now and how you can use them to create an amazing future too.

Your cards, august 16th 2021

There’s people I have trained over the years who have everything to moan about, yet NEVER moan and often do spectacular things, and there’s people who have everything going FOR them, yet always find ways to stop them fulfilling anything like their long term potential.We are all dealt certain cards, some accept think they have had lousy cards and throw them in, barely existing and living a life of fear and wondering what “could have been”, never realising that they can turn that “bad hand” into a winning hand with a lot of daily action and work.Then every day there are true heroes who walk in the gym desperate to get better, wondering how much their bodies have in them today, hoping that they can just show even a small improvement that day, knowing consistent “little wins” in their workouts really matter in the long term.They never complain because they know that is a complete waste of time. They never complain because they know they have a limited amount of energy and time, and they want to make the very most of it. They never complain because they realise that there are PLENTY of people worse off than them.If you could buy a pill that guarantees you to get stronger every day, feel better every day, boost your health times ten, be in an uplifting environment every day, a pill that guarantees you see a better future every day, most people would give everything for that pill.At the gym every day, we dedicate our time to doing the best for you, lifting you up and helping you see that even if you are in the depths of despair, there’s a way out, there’s a better world out there and that world wants you to take a big and active part in it.The past is the pas and it has gone, and it must stay there, the future is RIGHT now and you had better get off the settee and get creating it. Remember there’s always not only someone worse off than you, but they are creating a much better future THEMSELVES and literally CHANGING their luck daily through their OWN EFFORTS.

Fresh energy and positivity

We know there’s so many people who praise you for doing so well with your training, and rightly so. Whilst praise is nice, the vast benefits you get out of training make compliments quite insignificant, as the more you train, the more your burning passion to get healthier only accelerates.You may get some people even who wonder why you do it, after all isn’t it easier just to sit in the house and hope for good health to magically come along, until its often to late when you HAVE to get active and do something about it?When you’re training like you are now, you are always in a state of urgency and you are simply not prepared for life to “happen to you”, you have taken charge of your life and YOU are the one making great things happen with your health.If your health is improving, then your opportunities in life are improving too, the two go hand in hand.Have more energy and you want to do more-fact.Feel fitter and you have way more positive energy, rather than negative scepticism against everything around you-fact.Life is better when you are training, the pain in your body only gets less, those things that you thought beyond you are suddenly attainable again purely because you are now used to conquering goals each and every day again.Most of all, realise WHY you are training and moving more and what it gives you and your life, so when any of those doubts ever enter your mind, your first thought is to get a workout in, and flush your mind and body with positivity and fresh perspective on all the great opportunities you now have.

Sunday July 4th

As the new week approaches, remember the things that make you sick and the ones that make you feel well.Sickness can be brought on by not being active, eating too much processed food and drinking more than you usually do, causing anxiety and a feeling of being overwhelmed the next day, especially when the realities and challenges of life present themselves the morning after. You won’t be able to face anything.Sickness can also be brought on by never seeing anyone, the cabin fever of being stuck in the house 24/7 can lead to a distorted reality of life, the ravages of lockdown (so many of you tell me this) hit hard here and are disasterous for mental health.You joined the gym to feel better, to make time for yourself, to feel better on the inside as well as the outside, to be more positive, to be uplifted, to lessen your anxiety, to de-stress, to meet more positive people, ALL of these things will bring WELLNESS into your life and make smile far more often with ZERO side effects..You know what to do this week, you can safely say if you arent feeling well, it would be absolute madness to continue the things that continue to make you sick.Embrace what it feels to be well, happy and content with your life, make sure monday morning starts with you moving often, and the rest will take of itself.

Friday, May 21st

Here’s what I have seen throughout being in and out of lockdown from speaking to REAL people I train daily. Inactivity and lack of actually seeing people causes DESPAIR in many people’s lives which is absolutely terrible for your immune system just when you needed it to be strong, and the lack of exercise can cause serious pain in their bodies especially as weight gain inevitably comes, bringing on a whole host of unwanted side effects ON TOP of everything else.I hear these stories first hand DAILY.On the slip side, I then hear and see many of those same people starting to exercise again, eat better, and get some fresh air daily. They see more people and the social interaction on top of the exercise, and all of this is like a MIRACLE drug for them. They tend to get more optimistic about life again and all the doom and gloom starts to disappear as they use exercise as the ultimate anxiety, stress and pain buster again. It may be hard at first, but they slowly and surely re-discover themselves.The positive UPSIDE is overwhelming and often takes me aback at the inspirational progress, frowns and sadness have turned into smiles and laughter, and I know of so many of their family remarking that they have their “old and real” mother/grandmother/son back again, all due to their adoption of positive, healthy habits once again.I find it amazing the most positive natural thing you can do right now is exercise , eat well and get some fresh air time in nature is not being hammered home daily, not only to make you feel so much better, but it has been proven scientifically to BOOST your immune system which is the most important protection we have to fight off any illness or disease that threatens to overcome us.Stay strong, stay in motion daily and it all can start with a daily walk to get you going, write down how you feel before your walk, then write down how much better you feel afterwards. Exercise is very powerful medicine for your body AND your brain, make it count and don’t waste another moment feeling so low, no matter how deep the rut is you are in, when there truly is another natural way that gets you out of it.
