A massive first 2 days of the week, we are internally thankful for so many of you hitting it so hard at the end of November, even the fans were on. You are telling yourself “the right story”.
The right story you tell yourself is highly important.
Lots of people in the gym this week have a strong connection with how fitness affects their entire life. It enables them to live life at a faster pace, get things done and have a firmer control of their mental health.
Some of you when you don’t exercise lose that connection you once had. Two weeks off can become 2 months and then 2 years. Fear enters your life and you become paralysed because you don’t want to even attempt things any more.
When you don’t exercise, the story changes you tell yourself. You may tell yourself internally that you aren’t good enough anymore, you aren’t able to do this anymore, you are too old, too big, your body aches too much now, your confidence has gone etc etc.
What we tell our ourselves becomes our actual reality UNLESS we change our story.
I have lived with doubt, lack of confidence, lack of self-esteem in the past, and it’s not pleasant. I knew though there was a better life, a better way and re-training my mind was going to take me out of my comfort zone, BUT getting into new habits was tough, but you must have patience and give the new you some time, and STOP beating yourself up at the first sign of a mistake, we are NOT perfect any of us.
One small goal leads to the next victory, and we find out once we change ourselves, our whole world changes and opportunities suddenly come up ONCE we are open to them, and develop as individuals.
You have to keep working on yourself, and good health is absolutely paramount, you can’t do a thing well without it.
Start telling yourself a better, more positive story, and start seeing yourself in better life. You DO have the ability, so start living a better life starting right now.
